SightSeed is a voice-interactive reading practice app built around a simple idea: children learn to read by reading aloud, not by silently recognizing words on a screen. As each word appears, SightSeed can speak it first to model correct pronunciation, then listen as the student repeats it — checking their answer against real speech, not just a tap.

Two ways to practice, or both together

• Sight Words — 253 of the most common English words, organized into seven progressively longer tiers (from 1–2 letter words like “a” and “to,” up through 7-letter words), each represented by a bird — Canary through Eagle — so kids always know where they stand.
• Sound Words — ten core phonics patterns (long vowel teams, diphthongs, and r-controlled sounds like ai/ay, oi/oy, and ar), for readers ready to move from memorized words to decoding by sound.
• Mix It All — every word and every pattern shuffled together for a genuine challenge, guaranteed to never open on an easy word.

Built for real classrooms and living rooms

• Voice recognition listens continuously, with three attempts per word and an on-screen “Say it again” option before moving on — no dead ends, no pressure.
• A Teacher Check mode lets an adult mark answers by ear instead of relying on the microphone, any time.
• Session tracking records student name, age, and the teacher or parent running the session, with full history and progress trends saved over time and exportable to CSV.
• Works as an installable app (iOS and Android) with offline support once installed.
